In my dream world I have one of those massive closets like you see on Pintrest or in magazines featuring celebrities. They are always full (not to mention perfectly organized) of so many beautiful clothes that probably never get worn more than once.. In reality my closet is FAR from organized (not my strong suit remember?) and I try and invest in pieces that I can wear until they basically fall apart.
A staple piece I think every woman should seriously invest in is a great fitting leather jacket. I have always loved the look of a leather jacket, when I was 12 and asked for one form Wilson's Leather for Christmas! I feel like each season with evolving styles I fall a little more in love with them. But to be honest for years my love for leather stayed in the casual section of my closet and mind, only to be brought out on nights and weekends. Jack and I always tell clients to shop their own closets and I applied the motto with my beloved leather jacket.
Today I want to show you how to take your leather from jeans and tennis shoes, to work, to a holiday party. I mean talking about bang for your buck!

Jeans, tennis shoes and a t-shirt. Does it get more casual than that? By wearing this jacket instead of a plain ole hoodie or oversized sweatshirt my outfit suddenly goes form blah and frumpy to stylish and intentional.
This is a look you will see me in a lot during the cooler months at work. I love my pencil skirts and wearing them with a leather jacket is a great change from the regular blazer or coat.
i have to be honest this look was new to me! When Jack and I were in NY for Fashion Week I saw so many girls wearing their leather jackets with REALLY dressy dresses. I made the comment to Jack that I had never really thought to do that and could not wait to try the look. I love the way it gives this sequin dress a serious edge.
Need a new stable leather jacket in your wardrobe? Now is the time to add it to your Christmas list. Here are a few of my favorite ones at all price points.
