The Great White Tee

I was shopping with a client recently and I told her every gal needs and a great white v-neck tee in her closet. She looked at me like I had two heads. She said she could see if I said a great pair of jeans, or heels, or a bag....but a "t-shirt"? I am not talking about your husband's nasty white v-neck he wears as an undershirt, I am talking about a great fitting, great cut, crisp white shirt....that just happens to be made of out of t-shirt material!

I looked back through some pictures  recently and laughed at how many times I have on this Rag and Bone tee. Side note about this shirt, I was with Jack when I bought it and I about had a heart attack at the price. She swore to me it would be worth the money and she was right. It has seriously become my go-to shirt, year round.

What I love about a great white tee is that it can be so dressed up or completely casual based on what you put with it.  Here I have it on with a super casual pair of cut offs. I actually wore this outfit to an outdoor party this weekend. Shorts Sold Design Lab (sold out similar here).

Below I will post several outfits from this year all with the SAME shirt!! And at the end of the post I will give a few other options for tees you can buy.

Did you see this picture on Instagram  (krisandjackblog) this weekend? I am wearing my tee with the jeans from Target that Jack posted on Manic Monday last week. I dressed it up with a pair of hot pink heels (old Stewart Weitzman but similar here) and I was ready to go. By the way I am obsessed with the Target jeans. If you did not buy them I suggest you run, don't walk to your closest Target and snatch them up!!

Here I have on my tee for a business casual meeting last fall  with one of my favorite jackets by Ella Moss (sold out).

I love this look! I feel like I am channeling my inner James Dean! Paired with leather pants (sold out but similar here and here on sale) and booties (my fav Vince Camuto, similar here) for an awesome fall transitional outfit!

Remember my post on these Sam Edelman (half off) leopard tennis shoes ( have you seen these similar ones at Target for a fraction of the price? Cute!)  Yep, same shirt!!

I think you get my point! Finding the perfect tee may take some time and money but I am telling you, it is totally worth the investment. It is one of the most versatile items I own. If you're not convinced on the whole investment part, you can find a great white tee (that isn't see-through) here for a STEAL! Below are even more options. The picture may not be white but it comes in white as an option (if you are viewing on your phone you have to scroll over to see all of them sometimes).

What are some of your favorite tees? I would love to know!
