One of the biggest shopping days of the entire year is just 2 days away: Black Friday! I feel like people are either all about it or want to throw their leftover turkey leg at it. Wherever you may stand on the heated Black Friday debate, there is shopping to be done during the holiday season. Today, we are focusing on the women in our lives; our moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, cousins, etc. These are the fun things we've picked:
When you come across a special gift that can be meaningful for both the recipient and the business owner, it is a win win situation. My (Jack) best friend shared these personalized custom wood Christmas ornaments from Black Tag Studio last year, and they are BEAUTIFUL. When you purchase one, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to this sweet family.
Black Tag Studio writes:
Two years ago we brought home our beautiful daughter, Zara, from Uganda. For anyone that has experienced international adoption, you know all-too-well that the process can be extremely lengthy and expensive. Although Zara's adoption has been finalized for a year now... our adoption loans have not. We have a rather bold financial goal this year and that is to use this year's ornament fundraising to pay off our smaller adoption loan of $4,000... or 500 ORNAMENTS! A portion of every single purchase made here in the shop goes directly towards our adoption loans and fees.
This is just one family out of thousands that welcome a new member to their family by means of International adoption. But, to make a purchase that supports this particular family's journey, is rewarding and fulfilling. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."
I know I'm not the only one that still carries a planner, and if I am, well, I just don't know what to say. This planner is so cute and I'm convinced an iPhone cannot always be a reliable source! In 2016, I plan to rely on this Kelly green planner by Kate Spade. I love that it is small enough to fit in a purse and has pages with both the full month and by week. Plus, the message on the front is perfect. Who wouldn't want to be that combo?!
I LOVE this "You're A Good Mom" mug by Toy State. I bought it for all of my girlfriends several years ago (and one for myself), and then again for my mom las year. I think it's a favorite for everyone! It's the perfect size and perfect way to start the day...the coffee might help with that too! This mug sells out every year, so if you love it, buy it now!
About a month ago, a make-up artist friend of mine, gave me a Laura Mercier caviar eyeshadow stick. She said I would love and she was so right! I immediately told her I needed more colors and she recommended this gift set. It is exclusive to Nordstrom, and only carried around the holidays. It has all of their top selling colors, spanning light to dark and includes both matte and shimmer shades. This is on my Christmas list.
Jack and I are both obsessed with these earrings and just about everything from Belle Bijoux Designs. She features of lot of jewelry designers that make new designs each week so her inventory is constantly changing. I love how many unique pieces she has. You have got to check out her website. I want one of everything!
I asked my mom for this awesome tote for Christmas. I just love that it is reversible and comes with a wristlet and has a million different colors.
This wraps up our holiday shopping guide series! We have a lot of fun things planned for December so stay tuned! Until then, we wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. And if you are attempting the Black Friday rush (and deals), GOOD LUCK ;-)
