Thankful.

You know you are getting older when every single holiday tends to sneak up on you! I mean how is it already Thanksgiving? Remember when you were a kid and Christmas felt like "forreeeevvverrrrrrrrr" away? Well it's time! The Holiday Season is upon us, so the natural question of what to wear always comes up. Today Jack and I are tag teaming this post to give you some great Turkey Day outfit inspiration. She is the model and I am doing the writing. I did not think many of you would be sporting my walker as an accessory like I am. In case you missed the Instagram picture, I had knee surgery and have been unable to walk.

I think the most important factor to consider when choosing your outfit is comfort. I mean lets be honest, who wants to sit and eat a HUGE meal with jeans that on that feel like they are sucking the life out of you? Uh, NOT me, that does not make me feel very thankful. What I am thankful for is.....LEGGINGS! I mean they are basically dressed up, sociably acceptable sweats. But ladies, while we are on the subject of leggings, lets remember THEY ARE NOT PANTS!!!!!!!! What I mean is, it is NOT ok for your butt or your lady parts to show. Your shirt or your undershirt needs to be long enough to cover the smile of your butt. Where your leg meets your butt cheek. Got it? Ok, lets move on..

I recommend investing in a pair of good dark leggings. Both Hue and Spanx make substantial leggings that should last you a long time. Then, layer it up. Jack used an oversized plaid scarf to make a cape for her look. She put it over a denim button up tunic top. And then added boots. Together, it's put together yet comfortable!

Here are some casual shopping options we picked for you:

We realize that it isn't appropriate to wear leggings to all Thanksgiving feasts. Some family Thanksgiving traditions require something a little more fancy. But, we have you covered! You can still dress up and be comfortable while brunching at a 5 star hotel. A dress like the one by Topshop (shown below) is classic yet on trend. And best of all, roomy! A little black dress "LBD" can be pulled out for ANY OCCASION! You can add a statement necklace, clutch, and a colored or print shoe, and you're good to go eat turkey...in a fancy kind of way.

Here are some other outfit options if you are looking for something dressier:

If you are looking for something right in the middle, we've picked some fun options for you too! You can never go wrong with a pair of dark skinnies, a blouse, blazer and heels or booties. Love these options:

This Thanksgiving, Jack and I are humbled by your support, love, and encouragement. We are thankful for each of you. We hope you all have a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
