These are a few of my favorite things...

My family, my friends, my church, the Backstreet Boys, and queso; these are my all time favorites! They are my permanent, not going anywhere, big time loves. I will admit that I tend to be a somewhat obsessive person though. Growing up, I was the girl with 100 Barbies, walls plastered with New Kids on the Block posters, Kelly Kapowski's wardrobe, and a need to own all things Plumeria from Bath and Body Works. Like many obsessions, these came and went. Even as a "grown-up", I tend to obsess a teeny tiny bit over current favorites, but I'm always willing to share my finds! It was difficult to narrow it down, but these are my current MUST HAVES!

1. LUSH Cosmetics

One of my best friends introduced me to this line of products during one of our marathon shopping excursions a couple of months ago. I was hooked immediately. LUSH products are handmade from fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, essential oils, and safe synthetics. And, as a bonus, they smell amazing! I started with Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. It's basically a lotion for your shower. It works just like hair conditioner; you put it on right after washing with soap, do a quick rinse, and you are done. It smells incredible and you are so moisturized, there is no need for lotion. I have very dry skin, so my lotion days aren't completely over. I went back to LUSH and purchased the New Charity Pot lotion- 100% of the price goes to environmental conservation, animal welfare, or human rights- whichever charity pot you choose. Love it! I made the mistake of taking my husband into the store this past weekend, and now he is a full-blown LUSH believer. We were a hot mess in there, asking questions, doing demos, and filling our basket up. Some things are pricier, but others are significantly less; like the bar shampoos that average around $12 and are equivalent to 3 bottles of normal shampoo. I could seriously do an entire post on this stuff. The Ocean Salt body scrub, concealer, and bronzing bar are my even newer favorites. You just have to visit a LUSH store and see for yourself, but beware, 'cause you are going to want it all!

I discovered the Light Blonde through her Instagram account @thelightblonde and had to make my first order right then. The designer, Ali, creates graphic tees driven by her desire to "share the light". Ali says:

"I personally design and hand-print all of my tees based on messages that I would like to put out into the world. They may be funny, encouraging, biblical or thought-provoking, but they will always come from a place of faith and positivity, aiming to inspire and spread love."

I love everything about it! I'm sure you've noticed that Kris and I both love a graphic tee, and these are my absolute favorite! They are super soft, the cuts are feminine (allowing them to be dressed up or down), and they speak to my heart- basically everything I look for in a cute graphic tee! She even has designs for men and kiddos...those are next on my growing wish list!

3. OPI Dulce de Leche

This nail polish from OPI has topped my favorites list for several years now- it is the perfect neutral. It's not too light, or pink, or's creamy nail goodness. I use this color year round on both my hands and toes. I love most OPI polishes because I feel like they stay on really well, the colors are rich, and most only require two coats- this shade is no exception. Dulce de Leche is the perfect all-around, neutral nail polish staple.

4. MAC lipstick in Brave

First off, I love MAC makeup. I have used their eyeshadows, blush, lipglosses and lipsticks for years! Kris and I couldn't live without our MAC lipgloss in C-Thru throughout college. But Brave is my new must-have color by MAC. It is a soft, neutral pink shade with a satin finish. I guess I really love a neutral- I told you guys I'm all about versatility! I've gotten to the point where I wear this color everyday. It is easy, goes with everything, and- this could totally be my imagination- I think it makes my teeth look whiter (maybe the cool undertones?). Either way, I'm sold!

5. Kendra Scott Sophee Earring

If you follow our blog, you're [very] familiar with the Sophee earring by Kendra Scott. Kris got these earrings for her birthday and let me borrow them during our last visit. I didn't want to give them back to her! I had to have a pair of my own. I feel like the shape of the earring is flattering on everyone. Even though they are simple, they stand out, even in my giant mass of Texas hair. I love that they are lightweight too. I gave my mom the silver pair for Mother's Day and she can wear them to work or running around on the weekends. They come in rose gold too. At $50, I feel like these staple earrings are a really good addition to any jewelry collection.

Because Kris and I both discover fun, new favorites all of the time, we created the 'Favorites' page on our blog. We do our best to keep it updated with our current obsessions. When you click on a pic, you will be directed straight to the item's site. Be sure to check it out! What are your current favorites/must haves/obsessions? We'd love to hear!
