The Way to Everlane

After Kris wrote The Great White Tee post last week, we received several emails about "the steal" white tee by Everlane she had mentioned. So, we thought we should share! You guys, I love this company! If you haven't found your way to Everlane yet, here are the basics.

Everlane black v-neck tee (not too low cut, cotton, great fit) and Jeans from Target. Necklace: The Giving Key Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Everlane is all about "Radical Transparency". They are hands-on in their factories, building relationships and ensuring a quality product is being made. Everlane also believes "customers have the right to know how much their products cost to make." Say whaaa?! Traditional retailers' clothing can be marked up 8x from the time of production to when it hits the retail floor. To keep costs down, Everlane is strictly online. When you browse their pieces, each product page lists the cost of materials, labor, and transport. Then, they list the cost. They double cost to get their retail price. It doesn't get any more transparent than that!

The best part is, the v-neck tee, like I'm wearing here, is a steal at $15- the cost is $7. Traditional retail for a top with comparative quality would cost around $45! Crazy, right? I'm a numbers girl, so this company speaks my language. They carry lots of different styles: slouchy tees, pocket tees and tanks. All come in a selection of pretty, rich muted colors...and none will break the bank.

They carry a full range of cotton button-up shirts too, but the yummy super soft silk line is my favorite!  This button up shirt is a go-to for me. It's been light enough for the summer months paired with denim cutoffs and sandals, but will easily transition to fall with jeans and booties, like I have on here. You can throw a blazer on, and wear it to work. Add a statement necklace and some strapy heels for a night out. The top is so soft, I literally feel like I am wearing pajamas. They make dresses in this same silk material too. I love the idea of mixing a pretty delicate silk dress with a leather jacket and booties this Fall.

I haven't purchased any bottoms yet, but Everlane makes shopping online for pants so much easier. They have models of all different shapes and sizes wearing the same pair of pants so you can easily see how they would fit a body type similar to your own. It's basically super fancy shopping, but without the price tag.  Also, don't forget to check out their shoes and handbags; all classic, minimalist, clean lines that you will own for a very long time.

These are all great pieces to build on season to season as trends come and go. Check out their website here and let us know what you think. Anything you gotta have? Adding to your wish list?

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
